FMP Concept Change - "No Shame"

-After writing the before paragraph I decided to slightly tweak the concept I will be looking at for my FMP in terms of imagery.

I decided to slightly change my concept to one centered around femininity. I felt as though the theme of death perhaps didn't align with my past work and the imagery I'm currently interested in. My best work so far has been indulgent, feminine and joyful and I really want to get back into this process.

- My plan is to create an installation looking at domestic spaces and images of femininity that i used to be denied / deny myself. For example, being ridiculed for liking "girly" animals, girl bands (Saturdays, Spice Girls, Girls Aloud etc.), the colour pink etc. I feel as though this repression leads to a sort of explosion of these interests in my own art now - I want it to feel confident, spunky and slightly grungy. For example, girly animals like cats will be portrayed as something dangerous, rabid and out of control - malicious / malignant femininity

- Colours will be deep reds, blacks, pinks, purples and dayglo yellow - once again I want to portray this femininity as something chaotic, loud, abrasive - something that will not be silenced.
