Final 3d+spatial+product reflections:

One other area where I wish I had done differently was in making my product less 3 dimensional than other people’s. Whilst I had considered every dimension of the piece, my piece was intended to be embedded in a wall, which then left it feeling quite simplistic when sketching different aspects
How did my artists research help? Oleg Sorenko’s use of layering and texture helped me understand the more structural elements of design. I do however feel that I could have played around more with the spacing between the layers (this would also have helped to make the product more 3d)
What I feel went well - I did enjoy playing with shape and line, and applying different contexts to them. For example, taking the bookshelf I had designed and making it a viewing platform/window on a far larger scale helped me understand more about what 3d+spatial is about
Do I think 3d + spatial is right for me? Whilst I enjoyed playing around with making a 3d object, I felt that I wasn’t as interested in this as perhaps the other design specialisms.
