Painting Day 1 reflection

Painting - reflections:

What did I do well? I really enjoyed playing around with colour, as I felt that painting is a great opportunity to experiment and really explore a depth of colour and tone (especially given the title of “noise”).
What could I have done better? I definitely would have come with a different mindset on how I would paint - I came into painting with an idea of the final piece I was going to make but actually found that this would potentially limit me on the number of collage/ painting concepts I would make. I also would include more of a 3d element to my work
How did I respond to artists work - and how could I have done more? - I definitely made an effort to replicate the kinds of playful / rough and gestural mark making I saw at the Tate from artists like Enrico Baj. I definitely think that if I expand my exploration into painting for a second day, I could add more of a 3d element to strengthen these responses.
