Reflections

Day 1 painting reflections:

what went well - it felt really great being given total creative control and being able to just have fun and explore different imagery. The day was also really helpful in that it prompted me to think about what excites me and what kind of imagery inspired my work (drama, heightened emotions / mythology / literature - e.g: thinking of concepts surrounding king Lear and harshness)
What could I improve on - I definitely think I could have included a lot more 3d elements. Looking at other people’s pieces made me realise that there was a lot more space to play around with 3d elements than I thought - there were people working around onto the wall space and expanding their box out. This is definitely something I’d want to improve on as I think that exploring mixed media and painting on objects would be really exciting. I also think that I could have thought more about the placement of the objects on top of the box
